On
behalf of the Somalis living in Qatar I wish to congratulate His
Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and the people of
Qatar for successfully tackling the unjust blockade imposed on the
country by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt.
We Somalis
strongly condemn the blockade. Many of our children and grandchildren
were born in Qatar and they don't have any other country to call home. I
came to Qatar in 1969 and have seen with my own eyes the progress made
by Qatar, thanks to its wise leadership.
Somalis work in large
numbers, both in the private and public sectors, including the military
and police departments and pledge their support for Qatar.
Qatar has
always stood by the Somali people in times of crises for which we are
grateful. We also thank Qatar for supporting the poor and the needy,
including those suffering in war zones like Syria, Palestine, Yemen,
Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Somalis stand by Qatar in its efforts to chart a peaceful and prosperous future for everyone.

Dear sir,
I want to convey my appreciation to Hamad Medical Corporation for their remarkable service.
I
was a witness when, a few years ago, my friend was involved in an
accident at his workplace. He was rushed to HMC Emergency where he was
diagnosed with serious injury to his backbone. He underwent medical
treatment for about a year, after which he was able to walk and drive.
During the treatment his caregivers would take him in a wheelchair to
parks and other recreational facilities to keep his spirits up. Where
else in the world can one get such treatment!
What's more, the
medical commission ordered his company to pay him a compensation of
about QR300,000 as he did not have medical insurance. The employer gave
the amount to him promptly and he was flown to India where he is
presently living.
We can't forget the services rendered by the HMC
to the public. Presently, my treatment is going on in Wakra Hospital for
some health problems. The service of their staff is fantastic and they
give me maximum care. Also the medicine cost is very reasonable and I
can afford it.
Once more, I give my appreciation for the superb service rendered by Hamad Medical Corporation. Keep it up!
