(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) An Arab resident has received several injuries in a road accident that took place on the Emirates road in the direction of Falaj Al Mualla in Umm Al Quwain.
The central operations room of the UAQ Police, having been alerted of the accident, dispatched traffic patrol, ambulance, paramedics and rescue teams to the site in a record time.
"Initial enactment of the accident showed that the victim lost control over the steering wheel, veered off the road, and rammed into a long trailer running on the correct lane," said a civil defence department source.
The civil defence men had to use special rescue equipment to release him, who was trapped inside the car.
"The man was rushed to the Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Umm Al Quwain for treatment and medical care."
