Texas Republican urges the House to tackle immigration bill

(MENAFN) President Trump's immigration bill has been described by Texas Republican Rep. Will Hurd as "narrow and bipartisan" as he called for the House to oppose it.

He explained "I've been very clear that building a wall from 'sea to shining sea' is the most expensive and least effective way to do border security."

The Republican claimed the President to have "evolved since the campaign", despite his persistent push for Congress to provide over ten-year $25 billion funding for a physical border wall.

Hurd then noted "I think most Americans think that we are utilizing the latest and greatest technology along the border. We are not." He added "a lot of the technology we are using is 20 years old."
