Kuwait- Aboudeka win 1st local wheelchair basketball tourney


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Aboudeka Team won the First Kuwait Local Wheelchair Basketball Tournament for Disabled, which concluded recently at the Kuwaiti Disabled Sports Club. The champions defeated the Lakers Team 44-42 in a tight duel, while the Olympic Team came third after mauling Al-Tahrer 55-49.

The Most Valuable Player trophy went to Mohammad Hawash and Mohammad Al-Ghareb was the top scorer, while Faisab Al-Rajehi won the Best Player Award.

The four-day tournament was organized among four local clubs whose players are strong forces in the National Team.

The closing ceremony of the event was held in the presence of Honorary President of the Kuwaiti Disabled Sports Club Sheikha Al-Sheikha Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, Undersecretary at the State Ministry for Youth Affairs Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, Vice President of Kuwaiti Disabled Sports Club Nasser Al-Ajmi, Secretary General of the club Abdullah Al-Azemi, Treasurer of the club Sa'ad Al-Azma'a, and other members of the administrative board.

The event was moderated by Abdullah Al-Jasser with a large attendance of spectators.
