King meets vice president of the United Arab Emirates

Abu Dhabi, Feb. 7 (Petra)-His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday met Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, and reviewed the longstanding brotherly ties between the two countries and the region's latest developments.

During the meeting, the King and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid voiced pride in the robust bilateral relations and highlighted the keenness to expand prospects of mutual cooperation in the various fields.

The two sides also stressed the need to sustain consultations and coordination towards the various issues and regional challenges in a way that serves the Arab nation's causes and interests.

Talks also touched on ways to further bolster bilateral cooperation in the public sector development, the e-government, and bids taken to offer easier services to citizens.

Minister of foreign affairs, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, director of the King's office, and a number of high-ranking officials from both sides attended the meeting.
