Jordan- AArU Secretary General meets Iraqi higher education minister


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Feb. 7 (Petra)-Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), discussed with Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdul Razaq Al-Essa ways to expand Iraqi universities' membership under AArU' umbrella and to foster scientific research cooperation at pan-Arab and global levels.

During a tour to a number of Iraqi universities to check on their readiness to join the association.

30 state and private Iraqi universities are already member institutions of the AArU.

The Association of Arab Universities is an organization working within the framework of the Arab League. It is based in Amman, Jordan. Its objective is to support and connect universities in the Arab world, and to enhance cooperation among them.
