St Regis Doha welcomes new executive chef
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The St Regis Doha recently appointed chef James Norman as their new executive chef to serve their award-winning restaurants and superior culinary teams.
Chef Norman's impressive career spans over 23 years of professional culinary experience across Europe, Middle East and Asia having worked for the Sultan of Brunei at the Empire Hotel & Country Club in Brunei and for Guy Savoy in Paris.
Prior to his formal appointment at The St Regis Doha, chef Norman was executive chef at Siam Kempinski Hotel, Bangkok as well as previously holding the prestigious title of executive chef at the Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, and regional executive chef for Europe at the Grand Hotel Kempinski, Geneva.
Chef Norman also has under his belt an eclectic list of five star properties including the Mandarin Oriental in Geneva and Hong Kong, Burj Al Arab in Dubai and the Lanesborough Hotel and The Dorchester Hotel both located in London. In his role as executive chef at The St Regis Doha, chef Norman will oversee all culinary aspects of the hotel's various gastronomic offerings which include: Astor Grill, The Club, Sarab Lounge, Al Sultan Brahim, Vine, Gordon Ramsay Mediterranean and Opal by Gordon Ramsay, the Raw Bar, Oyster Bay & Bar, Vintage Lounge and Hakkasan, as well as banquets and external catering.
A UK national, chef Norman is also fluent in Spanish and French. 'We believe that chef Norman's refined culinary experience and exquisite creations will certainly leave our guests happy and impressed, The St Regis Doha area general manager Tareq Derbas said.
