Jordan- Warmer days forecast as temperatures set to rise above average


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Feb.3 (Petra) -- Another slight rise in temperatures is forecast on Saturday, becoming 6-7 degrees above their annual average and bringing relatively cold weather in the hilly areas, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), daytime temperatures forecast for today in the capital, the northern and southern cities will hover around 20 degrees Celsius, dropping down at night to 8 and 6 degrees respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 25 degrees and lows standing at 13.

Another slight rise in mercury levels is expected on Sunday, but similar weather conditions will remain with light to variable winds, the JMD added. Temperatures will keep rising on Monday becoming 9-10 degrees above their seasonal levels and bringing pleasant conditions during the day across the country, while it will be cold at night.

Light variable winds are also expected with clouds at various altitudes, the JMD further said.
