S.Korean and China to enhance tourism and economic ties
(MENAFN) Leading economic policymakers of South Korea and China have agreed to improve bilateral tourism and economic cooperation.
According to South Korean Finance Minister Kim Dong-yeon, he will raise the issue of difficulties encountered by South Korean firms doing business in China, who have come under pressure over Beijing's disciplinary actions after the deployment of a missile-defense system.
Based on the agreement, both countries will establish a consultative body to boost tourism, and set up a pilot free trade zone in China's northeastern provinces.
Friday's talks between Kim and his Chinese counterpart, He Lifeng marked the resumption of talks between top economic policymakers of the two nations, which have been halted for about two years due to the THAAD dispute.
