(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- The Word Union of Arab Bankers (WUAB) on Thursday stressed the key role of the human element in raising the productivity of institutions and improving their performance.
WUAB Chairman Joseph Torbe, said in a speech at the opening of the annual human resources forum in Arab financial and banking institutions, in Beirut, that the human element is a nominal component in the productivity of the institution.
He called on human resources management in all institutions to assess their employees to achieve the goals, especially that the world is witnessing rapid changes in technology and communications and trade liberalization.
He also stressed the keenness of WUAB in developing human resources, especially with the increasing movement of migrant workers between institutions according to supply and demand.
For her part, Head of Human Resources Dania Kaakani stressed the role of working women as "a valuable human resource that adds to the society and enriches it", pointing to the important role of the human resources departments towards the female component, which helps the interaction of the labor force women and men and increases the productivity of institutions.
For his part and in statement to KUNA, said Fouad Awad, partner with Meirc Training and Consulting that the Arab Gulf countries are the most Arab countries interested in managing human resources and they are taking great care and allocating huge budgets to train, prepare and qualify their human cadres.
