EU urges all parties in Yemen for restraint
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- The EU said Wednesday that it is following "very closely" the latest outbreak of violence in Southern Yemen and related developments.
"At this delicate juncture the EU calls on all parties to exercise restraint and refrain from violence and not to complicate further an already challenging environment, including for the delivery of humanitarian aid into the country," an EU spokesperson told journalists.
"The EU remains committed to supporting UN efforts in achieving a cessation of hostilities and in reviving peace negotiations," said the spokesperson speaking on condition of anonymity. (end) nk.sd
