Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kuwait Dr Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Fayez
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kuwait Dr Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Fayez congratulated Kuwait on the 57th Independence Day, 27th Liberation Day and 12th anniversary of the rule of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah (May Allah protect him). In a press release by Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kuwait, the ambassador affirmed that these occasions represent outstanding milestones in the history of modern Kuwait.
Dr Al-Fayez said the rulers of the State of Kuwait, since its inception, have always been keen about upholding pillars of wise governance, adding that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received this quality and continued the leadership trend very efficiently with the backing of his personal leadership qualities as well as the experience he collected during the years he occupied different positions within the Kuwaiti governance body.
Concerning the three occasions, the ambassador explained that the 57th anniversary of the independence of Kuwait brings to mind memories of the efforts exerted by consecutive Kuwaiti generations of citizens and leaders. Those efforts contributed to the placement of Kuwait in a distinguished position regionally and internationally. The 27th anniversary of the liberation of Kuwait is a reminder of the huge sacrifices of Kuwaiti people especially the martyrs of Kuwait during that bitter period of Iraqi invasion.
The Liberation Day marked the launch of a new era in the history of modern Kuwait. Kuwait succeeded in overcoming the crisis of the invasion and recovering within a short time to continue on the course of progress and development. As an active member of the international community, Kuwait played an important role, along with her sisterly Gulf countries, in preserving security and stability regionally and internationally. The 12 years of the rule of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has been laden with achievements, as he managed to lead Kuwait safely during a critical period after confronting all internal and external challenges.
Also, Dr Al-Fayez affirmed the strength and closeness of the relations between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, saying this historic and distinguished relations had developed through the ages until today with the leaders of the two sisterly countries – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed – are ruling the two countries and enhancing the bilateral relations. In conclusion, Ambassador Dr Al- Fayez congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al- Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the people of Kuwait on the occasion of the National Days of Kuwait, praying Allah will continue to bless Kuwait and Saudi Arabia with security and stability.
