MoU for economic relations between Qatar, Oman signed

(MENAFN) A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Qatar and Oman has been inked for economic cooperation that covers marketing, joint investment, food production and Omani products export to Qatar.
The agreement was settled during an official meeting in Muscat that centered on agriculture, livestock and fisheries sectors along with studying approaches to develop them.
The memorandum of understanding aims to develop an already present cooperative connection between the two countries within fields of mutual interest, The Minister of Municipality and Environment noted.
Minister H E Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi added that Qatar to already own several investments in Oman and is to further invest in the Special Economic Zone in Duqm in food industries and strategic storage among other things.
