CARE Jordan distributes winterization campaign for 13,000 people


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Jan.28 (Petra)-- CARE International in Jordan has successfully completed its 2017 – 2018 winter campaign helping vulnerable locals and refugees in the Kingdom.

According to CARE the winterization support is based on the humanitarian needs within the local community, and is a continued effort to support the refugees especially in the harsh winter season.

It pointed out that the total number of families who received winterization non-food items reached some 600 Jordanians and refugees, adding that around 689 Jordanian families and 1606 refugee families had received cash assistance to respond to their most pressing needs during the winter season.

The campaign is funded by the United Kingdom Department for International Development (UKAID), Neighbors in Need (NIN), and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), and targeted families in Amman, Mafraq, Zarqa, Irbid, and Azraq City.

CARE International in Jordan is celebrating its 70th anniversary of working in Jordan and offering assistance to the Jordanians and Refugee community. It has also announced other plans to expand its work and launch new projects in the Kingdom .
