2018 looks promising for Service Disabled and Veteran Owned Businesses thanks to the success of NVBDC.

Veteran Business Owners benefit dramatically from our acceptance within the Billion Dollar Roundtable. For all our certified SD/VOBS, it's a major step forward— Keith King, President, NVBDCDETROIT, MICHIGAN, UNITED STATES, January 24, 2018 // -- The National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC) expanded its operations and reach in 2017. As the only third party certification program for service disabled and veteran owned businesses of all sizes in the United States, the NVBDC gained the support of multiple major corporations who signed on as new sponsors. As a result, Certified Service Disabled and Veteran Owned Businesses (SD/VOBs) have greater opportunity and access to Supplier Diversity programs.

The most significant development of 2017 was being named as the Billion Dollar Roundtable's official certification organization for Veteran Owned Businesses. 'Veteran Business Owners benefit dramatically from our acceptance within the Billion Dollar Roundtable. For all our certified SD/VOBS, it's a major step forward' said Keith King, President of NVBDC.

A growing part of NVBDC's success was the increased participation of Veteran Business Owners at all our events. The 2nd annual 'Doing Business With the Federal Reserve' included over 30 corporations and government agencies with SD/VOBs attending education and business matchmaking sessions. NVBDC also presented its Founder's award to John Savona of Ford who was the event's keynote speaker.

At our National Veteran Business Matchmaking and Vets Night Out, we tripled our attendance from the previous year. With buyers from over 40 major corporations and government agencies in attendance, Veteran Business Owners made invaluable connections with Supplier Diversity leaders. Attendees were thoroughly engaged in the learning sessions, with 95 percent of those enrolled in the sessions attending. The panel included Moderator Debra Quade, from Kellogg's, who impressed attendees with her Supplier Diversity expert panel.

Upcoming 2018 events for the NVBDC include the Keeping the Promise Business Expo in Partnership with the USVBA in San Diego on May 7-9th. June 29th will be a casual summer day at our 4th Annual NVBDC Golf Outing, and July 19th, NVBDC will host the 3rd Annual Doing Business with the Federal Reserve and Private Business in Chicago. September 10-11th, we are hosting our national event, NVBDC Veteran Business Matchmaker and Vets Night Out again in Detroit. On November 7th we will host our first Veteran business matchmaking event in New York City hosted by J.P. Morgan Chase & Company. We hope that 2018 will prove to be our best year ever for SD/VOBs!
