Oman- Sultanate, UNODC explore cooperation


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- H E Yousef bin Abdullah al Afifi, deputy head of Global Affairs Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) met a delegation of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). It was led by Hatem Ali, UNODC's head of office in the GCC region.

The meeting covered the existing cooperation between the sultanate and UNODC especially the cooperation with the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking (NCCHT), which is chaired by Sayyid bin Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, secretary general in MoFA.

The UNODC delegation hailed the efforts made by the sultanate in combating human trafficking that included promulgating the human trafficking combating law.
