Abu Dhabi to build world largest desalination plant
(MENAFN) A USD1.2-billion project has been revealed by the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (Adwea).
The project will build the world's largest water desalination plant in the UAE emirate, with processes set to start in October 2021, a media report said.
The Al Taweelah Power Complex is where the project will be constructed in, 45 km north of Abu Dhabi, and produce 200 million gallons of water per day using reverse osmosis technology, reported Emirates news agency Wam.
