Jordanian King Meets with German Defense Minister

Amman, Rabi'II 27, 1439, Jan 14, 2018, SPA -- Jordan's King Abdullah II met here today with Germany's Minister of Defense Ursula Gertrud von der Leyen.
During the meeting, they discussed means of enhancing bilateral relations in defense and military fields. Discussions also touched on Mideast developments, particularly those related to the Palestinian cause.
King Abdullah said the issue of Jerusalem should be resolved within a holistic settlement that achieves the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The German minister, for her part, affirmed that Germany is looking forward to play a more robust role in the region.
