(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, Jan 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Assembly Secretary General Allam Al-Kandari Saturday called on parliament of non-Arab Muslim countries to participate in meetings of Arab Parliaments' Secretaries General to boost cooperation among Arab and Muslim Secretariats.
Al-Kandari, also chairman of the Assembly of Arab Parliaments Secretaries General, proposed the call for the non-Arab Muslim parliaments during a consultative meeting of Secretaries General of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC).
He called for opening channels of communication and cooperation among secretariats of Arab and Muslim parliaments to exchange technical and administrative expertise.
Participants in the meeting approved the statute of the PUIC Assembly of Secretaries General.
Al-Kandari is part of a delegation from the National Assembly, which arrived in Tehran earlier today, including MPs Dr. Ouda Al-Rowaie Dr. Khalil Abdullah. (end) fz.bs
