Amman Customs foil attempt to smuggle smart watches


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Jan. 13 (Petra)--Amman Customs House cadres foiled an attempt to smuggle smart watches from an Asian nation into Jordan.

Director of Amman Customs House, Brigadier Odeh Qutaishat said the smuggled items which included 495 mart watches were equipped with cameras, recorders and data chips and were hidden among 100,000 ordinary watches, adding that the "process of finding the smuggled watches was extremely difficult." Brigadier Qutaishat praised the advanced skills of the customs personnel as well as their efforts in preventing all forms of smuggling.
