(MENAFN) An international conflict has originated after a snowstorm forced an iconic building in the United States to drift away and settle in a Canadian island.
McCurdy's Smokehouse located in Lubec, Maine, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is considered as the last traditional herring facility to exist in the United States.
However, all was put in jeopardy when a "bomb cyclone" that came to pass a week ago ripped one of the five buildings from its supports and swept it away to a Canadian island.
Thus, Canada and the United States are amid a dispute regarding the remains of the historic landmark.
