Kuwait- Tillerson to travel to Canada for Korean stability meeting
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, Jan 11 (KUNA) -- US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will travel to Canada next week to cost-host the Vancouver Foreign Ministers' Meeting on Security and Stability on the Korean Peninsula.
"The meeting will bring together nations from across the globe to demonstrate international solidarity against North Korea's dangerous and illegal nuclear and ballistic missile programs," said a State Department release.
Discussions will focus on strengthening diplomatic efforts "toward a secure, prosperous and denuclearized Korean peninsula," it added.
Secretary of Defense James Mattis will also participate in the ministerial welcome dinner on January 15. (end) ak.sd
