Egyptian forces kills 8 militants in north Sinai
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Jan 9 (KUNA) -- Egyptian security forces killed eight militants on Tuesday, during an operation at the desert areas in North Sinai.
A statement by the Egyptian Interior Ministry said that they found with the militants five automatic rifles, two improvised explosive devices (IED) and ammunitions.
These militants, who used an abandoned house as their hideout, were trained on weaponries and manufacturing IEDs for carrying out hostile action against armed forces, police and citizens, the statement added. (end) rg.mys
