Philippine: November 2017 brings decline in manufacturing output


(MENAFN) Philippines government confirmed Wednesday its decline in manufacturing output in November of last year has occurred as a result of tobacco and food lessened production.

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) announced that in November 2017, the volume of production index (VoPI) of the manufacturing sector saw an 8.1% fall, according to the Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Moreover, a 9.3% fall in November of last year has been witnessed in the value of production index (VaPI), a three-month moving average of VoPI at 2.5% and of VaPI at 1.5%.
