Qatar- Prime Minister visits the assaulted school director

Doha: The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani visited the director of Omar Bin Al Khattab Secondary School for Boys, .
The Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahid Al Hammadi tweeted a picture of the prime minister visiting the director at the hospital in the morning.

"We praise God for the safety of our brother, the educator Hassan Al-Buainain and his colleague, after the brutal assault. We thank our leadership and the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior for the special care they give to employees of the education sector, the minister said in the tweet.

On Sunday, officials of Omar bin al-Khattab Secondary School for Boys were beaten-up by a student and his family member. This shocking incident was reported by the Ministry of Education on Twitter and a ministry official condemned the incident and said that necessary measures are taken to against the aggressors after their arrest.

According to an education ministry official, the director of the school was carrying out his duties as an invigilator and was applying ministry's regulations in dealing with violations during exams.

Local media reports said that the boy was caught cheating during an examination and was later banned from continuing the test. This infuriated the student and the parent and culminated in the shockingly violent act.
