Morocco Welcomed Over 11,000 Foreign Students in 2017

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Rabat – In 2017, more than 11,000 foreign students have chosen Morocco to pursue their university studies.
Morocco has welcomed over 11,000 foreign students for the 2017-2018 school year, according to the latest figures of the (AMCI).
According to the AMCI, 85 percent of these students come from African and Sub-Saharan countries, with 9,000 students of the total number.
The majority of these students come to Morocco to pursue their education thanks to scholarships given by the Kingdom, in respect to the cooperation agreements binding it to African countries, both French and English-speaking.
In the same line, around 70 Ghanaian students, among the most deserving of the country, will be able to continue their higher studies in Morocco thanks to the scholarships granted by the country.
These students, who are English-speaking, will benefit from French courses at the International Language Center in Rabat, after which they will be guided, in the academic year 2018-2019, to their chosen major.
These scholarships, which increased by 55 percent over last year, cover all specialties, including medical and paramedical, applied sciences, management and business studies.
