Jordan- Gov't vows zero tolerance against assaults on investors

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, Jan. 8 (Petra) -- Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Monday said a recent assault on an investor by a group of individuals is unacceptable, alien to the Jordanian society and tantamount to an assault on the state of law.

The prime minister said that this assault, albeit an individual incident, harms the Kingdom's reputation and its values, vowing that such acts will be dealt firmly and fairly. He stressed that his government will exercise zero tolerance with such acts and pursue stiffer penalties against the perpetrators.

Mulki orderd the formation of a ministerial working group to take all necessary legal and administrative measures against such acts. The prime minister stressed that Jordan has made a long stride in enhancing the prestige of the state and the rule of law and applying it to all, pledging that the government will not allow any violations of the law.
