Dubai developers to reduce apartments size for more affordable prices

(MENAFN) According to a top brokerage firm, 2018 is to attract developers to shrink apartments' size so as to make their price tag less expensive since customers' main concern is still finding value for money.

This kind of move is to carry on this year as it already is in progress within places like Dubailand, Jumeirah Village Circle and Dubai South, according to Kensington Properties chief sales officer Mario Volpi.

The chief of sales declared "in my opinion, one of the trends for 2018 will be affordability, but affordability will have to come at a cost and I'm not referring to financial terms."

He continued "whilst we are currently experiencing a somewhat challenging property market, where prices are naturally soft but in order for developers to keep the ticket prices of residential property at what can be described as affordable to the average person, the actual size of the finished unit will also have to be reduced."
