Pakistan- PHC suspends development funds in Mardan, Kohat
Justice Syed Afsar Shah of the PHC issued these orders on Friday while hearing petitions filed by the Members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Kohat Amjid Afridi and Khan Bahadur of the Awami National Party (ANP) from Mardan. The court has sought reply from the provincial government on 9 January.
Amjid Afridi's lawyer Barrister Mudasir said in his arguments in the court that the district development advisory committee has allocated Rs60 million for development projects in the constituency of his client, while other constituencies got Rs200 million, which is unjust.
