Smith only second to the great Don Bradman

Australian skipper, Steven Smith reached another milestone as he became the second fastest to score 6,000 runs in Test cricket.
The right handed batsman reached the landmark in just 111 innings and is only second to the great Don Bradman, who holds the record by scoring 6,000 runs in only 68 innings.

Smith needed 26 to reach the landmark before the Sydney Test. He achieved the landmark when he took a single off the first ball of the 53rd over, to equal the record held by former West Indies batsman Garry Sobers.
At 28 years and 217 days, Smith is the youngest Australian to the milestone, ahead of Ricky Ponting.
