Jordan- King Condoles Egyptian President over Church Attack

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Friday, sent a cable to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi, offering condolences over the loss of life in the terrorist attack that targeted Mar Mina church in Helwan district, south of Cairo.

In the cable, His Majesty condemned the cowardly terrorist act, stressing Jordan's support for Egypt and its people to fight terrorism and its gangs.

King Abdullah expressed sympathies to Sisi and the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

The Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and Government Spokesman Mohammed Momani denounced the criminal act carried out by the terrorist gangs, adding that places of worship have their sanctity and should not be subjected to any attack under any pretext.

Momani called for intensifying efforts to combat terrorism internationally, praising Egyptian security bodies for foiling the terrorist attack.
