Embassy Shut until Israel Guarantees Killer 'Diplomat' Stands Trail: Jordan

AMMAN —AlGhad— Foreign Minister Spokesperson Ambassador Mohammad Kayed confirmed to AlGhad that the Israeli embassy in Amman will remain shut until Israeli authorities offer solid guarantees that the security guard, registered as a diplomat, who killed two Jordanians, one of them not 17 years old, stands trial.

The murderer was interrogated by the Jordanian authorities but was allowed to leave with the rest of the embassy crew, some five months ago.

Since the repatriation of the embassy's crew, the embassy has been shut, and it still is.

Jordanian authorities stated that the diplomatic mission will not be allowed to return until the Ambassador resigns, the Israeli authorities apologises and compensates the families of the victims and tries the killer.
