Jordan- Lower House's Palestine Committee meets Turkish ambassador

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Dec. 26 (Petra)--Turkish Ambassador to Jordan Murat Karagoz on Monday received the Lower House's Palestine Committee led by MP Yahia Saud who voiced appreciation of Turkey's supportive stance, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to the Palestinian issue and its rejection of US President Donald Trump's decision on Jerusalem.
Saud expressed on behalf of all components of the Jordanian society, thanks and appreciation for Turkey's honorable stance towards Palestine and the holy places in Jerusalem.
He said he will coordinate with the Turkish side to arrange a visit for a Jordanian-Turkish parliamentary delegation to Gaza.
The Turkish ambassador voiced his country's support to the Hashemite custodianship of the holy place in Jerusalem as well as to the Islamic Awqaf in Jerusalem, noting that Jerusalem is important for the three monotheistic religions.
He also called for a unified Arab and Islamic stance to deal with repercussions of the recent US decision on Jerusalem.
