Oman- No photography at holy mosques precincts in Saudi Arabia: MARA

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs (MARA) on Sunday asked pilgrims going on hajj and umrah not to indulge in photography at the precincts of the two holy mosques.

MARA quoted a circular issued by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah while issuing guidelines. 'We call on citizens, residents and agencies organising hajj and umrah to be aware that photography is not permitted within the precincts of the two holy mosques. Authorities in Saudi Arabia have ordered for the confiscation of photographic material and cameras if anyone is found violating the guidelines.'
