Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has termed his visits to West African countries successful with fruitful discussions in tweets from his official twitter account.
After holding an official discussion with the President of Burkina Faso Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, the Emir tweeted: 'I had the pleasure of visiting the friendly Republic of Burkina Faso and my good talks with His Excellency President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré. The talks dealt with many issues of common interests of both countries and peoples at various levels.
About his visit to Mali, the Emir tweeted: 'A successful visit and fruitful discussions in the Republic of Mali. A memorandum of understanding for sports cooperation, and another was signed where Qatar will support education in this country.
On Senegal's visit, the Emir tweeted: 'New horizons open to Qatar- Senegal relations thanks to agreements and memoranda of understandings that were signed during my visit to this country, which enjoys political stability and a vibrant and promising economy.
Official twitter account of the Emir was activated on December 18 on the eve of Qatar National Day and in last five days its followers are increasing at a fast pace.
So far, the number of followers is 123,000 and it is growing with every passing moment. Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani used his official twitter handle (@TamimBinHamad) for the first time to tweet about the Qatar National Day.
The first tweet in Arabic said: 'On Qatar National Day, we remember the sacrifices of our fathers and grandfathers for the sake of the glory of the nation. We commend the determination of the people of Qatar to defend their country's independence, achievements and principles. Wishing you every year happy and prosperous. This very first tweet has so far received 41,000 likes, 28,000 re-tweets and 18,000 comments.
As an expression of loyalty and love to the leader Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, his official twitter account is receiving huge admiration from the people.
Thousands of citizens and expatriates have commented on the tweets of the twitter account of H H the Emir expressing their support to him as a leader of the country.
'The people of Qatar are united behind the Emir and this reflects from the celebrations of the National Day which shows the love and loyalty of the people to their leader and homeland, said Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad.
Another person, Shabeeb, wrote: 'We are living in peace, freedom and prosperity due to your wise policies. Mariam al Kuwari in her tweet said: 'We are proud of you the Emir and we do not accept others … you are the source of our pride.
'Congratulations to the Emir on launching official twitter account and may Allah bless you, tweeted Al Muqbali while another twitter user Sais Issam wrote: 'You are the one who defeated the blockade and you are the pride of the nation and all people love you - citizens and expats.
Since December 18, thousands of people from Qatar and across the world are praising H H the Emir. Keswin Suresh writes: '@TamimBinHamad - You are the best leader I have ever seen. God bless you and the State that you are ruling. Qatar will emerge brighter through this blockade.
George Delfino, an expatriate says: '@TamimBinHamad - I don't know if you are reading this your highness … just want to say thank you for taking good care of us (expatriates) here in Qatar.
