
Jordan and Russia discuss Mideast developments
AMMAN, 22nd December, 2017 (WAM) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of Jordan Ayman Safadi and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov have discussed the latest Mideast developments, in light of the US Administration's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
During a phone call Thursday, the two ministers highlighted ongoing efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis, along with the situation in the de-confliction zone in the northern Syria region and the humanitarian relief aid.
According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, discussions also touched on prospects of bilateral ties and ways to foster cooperation in the various domains.
