Russian, Turkish presidents mull UN General Assembly resolution on Jerusalem
Presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the UN General Assembly resolution on Jerusalem during a phone conversation, the Turkish media reported on December22.
Reportedly, the two leaders noted the importance of the resolution.
The UN General Assembly has recently adopted a resolution on the non-recognition of the US decision on the status of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel; 128 countries voted for the document, nine countries opposed, and 35 countries abstained.
