(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, Dec 21 (KUNA) -- Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) by the EU in the Gulf countries totaled 103 billion euro (USD 122 billion) making up 1.4 percent of its total FDI in the world in 2016.
FDI investments by Gulf countries in the EU amounted to 71 billion euro (USD 84 billion) or 1.1 percent of FDI's in the EU. Eurostat, the EU statistical office, released these figures Thursday.
Total FDI in the rest of the world by the EU amounted to 7.6 trillion euro (USD 9 trillion) . Meanwhile, total FDI by rest of the world in the EU was 6.2 trillion euro in (USD 7.3 trillion) in 2016. (end) nk.gta
