Jordan, Kuwait defend Arab causes: Dueij

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Dec. 20 (Petra) -Kuwaiti Ambassador here Hamad Dueij said Jordan and Kuwait staunchly defend Arab causes, in a bid to counter rigorous challenges, to build a solid footing for pan-Arab and inter-Islamic cooperation, and to achieve the region's aspirations.

In a press statement to Petra on Wednesday, the envoy said Jordan has maintained its noble message amidst the tremendous obligations it undertakes, triggered by the Mideast volatilities and conflictions.

The Kingdom's key role at regional and global arenas is unwavering and continual, concomitant with its capacity to overcome diverse hardships, he pointed out.

Commenting on Jordan's membership in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), he said this idea has never been obscure, and is always mulled, though its implementation has been procrastinated.

" The six GCC countries have a deeply rooted belief that Jordan is a qualitative addition to the bloc. This orientation is driven by the common peculiarities they all share, namely the political and social fabrics. This idea has gained cogency and strength, since the Arab nations seek to foster pan-Arab solidarity and cooperation," he underscored.

This vision also has further attention if put in its strategic context, taking into account the region's volatile circumstances, he affirmed , and added the Kingdom has all the pillars to assume its effective future roles, emanating from its being a model of security and political stability, intertwined with the trust its leadership enjoys regionally and globally.

Jordan and the GCC states, he asserted, have the pedestals of success under the bloc's umbrella, a step will hopefully help the Kingdom overcome its economic concerns to achieve prosperity for its people, he underlined.
