Kuwait, Sudan boost judicial ties

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KHARTOUM, Dec 19 (KUNA) -- Sudan's First Vice President and Prime Minister Bakri Hassan Saleh on Tuesday reiterated Khartoum's eagerness to boost ties with Kuwait in all fields.

Receiving Chairman of Kuwait's Supreme Judicial Council Justice Yousef Jassem Al-Mutawa and an accompanying delegation, Saleh lauded the activation of bilateral relations.

He also stressed judicial independence to enhance justice in both countries.

The meeting has reaffirmed the deep-rooted special ties between Kuwait and the Sudan in all fields. Al-Mutawa told KUNA.

Chief Justice of the Republic of Sudan, and President of the national Supreme Court Haider Ahmed Dafalla told KUNA that the visit reaffirmed the solid and eternal bilateral ties.

The two countries have cut a long path toward the formation of joint committee and concluding joint agendas.

In a statement to KUNA, Kuwait's Ambassador to Khartoum Bassam Mohammed Al-Qabandi described the visit as "fruitful," saying it was crowned with signing a joint agenda that will, no doubt, help realize more progress in judicial cooperation.

The Kuwaiti delegation arrived in Khartoum Saturday on a three-day visit to enhance cooperation between the judicial institutions in both countries. (end) mmm.msa
