Yemeni government renews calls on UN relief organisations to move to Aden
ADEN, 17th December, 2017 (WAM) -- The Yemeni government has renewed its calls on UN relief and humanitarian organisations to move their operations to the country's temporary capital, Aden, so that they can continue their relief work away from the interventions of Houthi militias.
According to the Yemeni Press Agency, the Yemeni Minister of Local Administration, Head of Higher Committee for Relief Abdul Raqib Fatah has affirmed in a statement his government's commitment to providing "all requirements for organisations to operate under international standards and protocols.
The Minister pointed out that the intervention by militias in the work of relief organiations "undermines the relief process and prevents access to needy people in these provinces," the agency added.
