Qatar- Winners of Ad Al Qaseed competition honoured

The Ad Al Qaseed competition, part of the educational sector activities organised by the Committee of the National Day Celebrations, concluded yesterday at Darb Al Saai with honouring those who won the first three positions.

In the boys' schools competitions, Yusuf Faleh Al Anzi from Umm Al Amad Primary School won the first place, followed by Abdullah Mohammed Al Marri from Ali Bin Abdullah Model School, who won the competition last year, and Salmin Saleh Al Marri from Abdullah bin Rawahah Primary School.

In the girls' schools competitions, Ghalia Nasser bin Fahd Al Thani from Al Bayan Primary School was the winner of the first place, followed by Al Jawhara Bader Al Shammari from Al Shifa Bint Abdulrahman Primary School, and Haya Sultan Al Nuaimi from Al Markhiya Elementary School.

Nasser Al Marri, the head of the event, praised the outstanding performance of students.

The total amount of the award is about QR210,000. The winner of the first place receive QR250,00, followed by the second place with QR20,000, while the third will receive QR15,000. The fourth, fifth and sixth places will each receive QR10,000.

The winner of the first place of poets will receive QR30,000, while the second and the third places will get QR25,000 and QR20,000 respectively. The fourth, fifth and sixth place will each receive QR15,000.
Some 314 students from 70 schools have actively participated in the event.
