
UAE- Canadian Minister meets Arab diplomats to discuss common concerns
OTTAWA, 14th December, 2017 (WAM) -- Marie-Claude Bibeau, Canadian Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, recently met with a number of diplomats from GCC, Arab and North African nations in Canada, to review various issues of common concern.
The meeting included Hamad Alawadi, Charge d'affaires at the UAE Embassy in Canada, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, Saudi Ambassador to Canada, and the Ambassadors and the Charge d'Affaires of other countries, including Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Yemen, Iraq, Jordan and Morocco.
The Canadian Minister described her country's efforts to provide humanitarian assistance for refugees, especially Syrians, and its work to support peace, security and development in the Arab world and the Middle East.
Bibeau also reaffirmed Canada's position on the Palestinian issue and its support for a two-state solution.
