Pakistani hacker blackmails Kuwaiti woman


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Dec 13: Personnel from the E-crimes Department have arrested a Pakistani hacker for breaking into the personal account of a Kuwaiti woman on Instagram and blackmailing her, reports Al-Anba daily.

The hacker kept on pestering the woman who is believed to be in her 30s and threatened to tarnish her image if she does not pay him KD 1,000 and then came down to KD 400.

The woman filed a complaint with the after transferring the money and police pin pointed his place of work in Hawally.

After taking legal procedures, securitymen arrested the hacker and seized his laptop. During interrogation he is said to have admitted to committing the crime. Police are continuing investigations to find out if he was involved in similar crimes.
