Turkey President urges nations to recognize Jerusalem as Palestine capital
(MENAFN) Arab leaders were pleaded by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to recognize Jerusalem as the "occupied capital of the Palestinian state."
President Erdogan explained while speaking to a summit of the Organization for Islamic Co-operation that the decision of the United States to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel was "null and void".
Turkey President also took a shot at Israel, accusing it of being a "state of terror."
The summit was informed by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas that the US had "disqualified itself from playing a role in the peace process. We shall not accept any role for the United States in the peace process. They have proven their full bias in favour of Israel."
