Qatar- Call for revision of Islamic education in S Asian nations

The educational seminar organised by Darul Huda Islamic University in India in collaboration with Research Center For Islamic Legislation and Ethics under Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation highlighted the need for revision of Islamic education and way of teaching through scientific and most effective methods.

Many delegates from different south Asian countries expressed the opinion that Darul Huda Islamic University is a great role model and example for this type of renovated education. The seminar was organized to mark the 33rd anniversary celebrations of Darul Huda Islamic University, Kerala - India.

Educational seminar, namely Edukening, 2017 was inaugurated by Dr. Mohamed O. El-Moctar Al Shinqiti, representative of Dr. Tariq Ramadan, Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) at HBKU who expressed his sublime ideas on education and highlighted the major changes that education and knowledge can bring about in a person's life.

Dr Bahauddeen Muhammad Nadwi, Vice Chancellor of Darul Huda Islamic University (DHIU), India was the chief guest who spoke at length about the radical changes that Darul Huda could make in the educational method by introducing a different style of curriculum amalgamating religious education with material education. He drew the attention of the delegates in to the reality.
