Republican Roy Moore defeat tarnish 'kingmaker' status of Bannon
(MENAFN) On the eve of Alabama Senate election, ex-senior White House adviser Steve Bannon declared in his defense for Republican Roy Moore that "there's a special place in hell for Republicans who should know better."
However, he was greatly disappointed after Democrat Doug Jones earned the victory of the special election marking him as the first Democrat to win a US Senate seat in Alabama in at least two decades.
The so-called "kingmaker" image which Bannon celebrated as Moore won the Republican primary over an establishment-backed nominee might just be tarnished in case Jones' triumph stands.
