His Majesty and King Salman discussed the repercussions of the recent US decision, publically recognising the occupied city of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

On Wednesday, His Majesty and Crown Prince are scheduled to leave for Istanbul, to head the Jordanian delegation at the extraordinary Islamic Cooperation Organisation (OIC).

The OIC will also convene to address outcomes of Trump's decision and subsequent regional developments.

Last week, US President Donald Trump publically recognised Jerusalem as the 'eternal capital of Israel, and announced the relocation of the US Embassy.

In the meantime, Prince Ali bin Hussein was sworn in as Deputy for His Majesty King Abdullah in the presence of the members of the Cabinet.
