Kuwait- KFA Pres. denies Saudi football team's withdrawal from Gulf Cup

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- Kuwait football Association (KFA) President sheikh Ahmad Yusuf Al-Sabah denied Monday reported withdrawal of the Saudi football team nor any other team from the 23rd Gulf Cup.
All national teams of the GCC, Yemen and Iraq will be participating in the Gulf Cup on December 22, Sheikh Ahmad confirmed in a statement.
The tournament, due until January 5, will feature Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Iraq, Yemen and Kuwait.
The draw resulted in two groups: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman and Kuwait, while the second consists of Qatar, Iraq, Yemen and Bahrain. (end) fr.bs
