French FM: Jerusalem is capital of two states
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- French foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said Monday that France's position regarding US President Donald Trump's decision on Jerusalem is well known.
"We all know that the EU wishes that the resolution of the Middle East problem will be solved only under negotiations so we can achieve the two states solution which will reassure the security and having Jerusalem as the capital of both states," he told reporters ahead of a an EU foreign ministers meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"This is the position of the EU and this position will support today. Apart from that we wait for an initiative by the US and we will see," he added (end) nk.mb
